Ok, I realised something important – the cover for ‘Second Time Lucky?’ isn’t really any good. Its a nice picture (taken with my Boots TF 110 camera) but it says nothing about the story, it does nothing to promote the book itself. So for ‘Sovereign Nation’ I have tried to do a bit better. This time it is an image taken with my Nikon D70 with a Holga HL-N lens, digital because I am too impatient to wait for film to be developed for this.
‘Sovereign Nation’ has history, government and race as key themes so I’ve gone with an image that should in some way convey at least the first two – without going down the obvious route of just putting a picture of the Houses of Parliament or Buckingham Palace on the cover. What do you think?
