Finally got back to archery yesterday after a year to eighteen months off and it felt good. Well yesterday it felt good, today I just feel sore. No scoring this time, just practise. Shooting at a Portsmouth face and I got mostly red and gold so pretty good after a long lay off. Should be going once a week now to keep up.
I really enjoyed it and there was a much more relaxed atmosphere at the club than there had been last time I shot. No complaints, no hurrying people up, it was a lot more fun. Driving there was . . . well, about as much fun as any drive through central London. Parking was difficult though, everywhere the parking was suspended for roadworks – eventually I had to park about a fifteen minute walk from the club, not too bad but there is plenty of parking closer when it is not suspended.
